Description
HIGH TORQUE FOR OVERSIZED DIALS: drives minute hands up to 450 mm (17.7 in). The 12888 is a stepping quartz movement, so the hands advance once per second with a light tick. The torque is sized for the long, heavy hands that large wall clocks use, and the motor runs on one AA (LR6) battery. CHOOSE BY DIAL THICKNESS, NOT BY THE OLD MOVEMENT NUMBER. This option: 23 mm total shaft, 12 mm (15/32 in) thread, for 5-9 mm (3/16-23/64 in) dials. Measure the panel where the shaft passes through; other thicknesses need the 18 mm or 28 mm shaft - see the size chart image. MOUNTING HARDWARE INCLUDED: iron hanging hook, rubber pad, washer and hex nut. No hands in this option, so check your existing pair: hour hand hole 5.03 mm (0.198 in) round, minute hand hole 4 mm (0.157 in) rectangular. Hour and minute hands only; battery not included. The hanging hook comes in the kit, so there is no separate part to source. Undo the old movement, slide the shaft through the dial, fit the rubber pad, washer and hex nut, then push the hands onto the shaft.
